Check the steps.
A loyalty price and a digital coupon can appear beside the same grocery item. Before counting either in your shopping plan, work out what you need to do and whether the offers can be used together.

A displayed offer needs a path to checkout. This example lists the questions, not an available deal.
Keep the price and its requirements together from planning to receipt.
Separate membership from a coupon action.
Read the retailer's instructions instead of assuming every discount works the same way. Ask whether the advertised price needs a loyalty account, a separately selected coupon, a purchase quantity or a combination of requirements. New York State's Money Savings Guide recommends checking store reward programs and available coupons.
Write each required action beside the item. If the offer says to load something, check the retailer account before leaving home. If it only mentions membership, follow that offer's instructions rather than inventing an extra step. Unclear wording is a reason to open the full details.
Identify the coupon before combining it.
Digital describes how a coupon is delivered; read the offer to identify who issued it. For example, ShopRite's coupon policy permits a ShopRite coupon with a manufacturer coupon on an item, but prohibits combining multiple manufacturer offers. Special event restrictions can also apply. That is ShopRite's policy, not a rule for every grocery chain.
For another retailer, open that retailer's own policy. Do not carry a screenshot from a different chain into your calculation as proof that the same combination works. If the terms remain unclear, mark the combined saving unconfirmed and ask the store before relying on it.
Keep conditional prices separate from confirmed ones.
Make your shopping note useful without needing to remember every detail. A short status helps you distinguish an offer you have checked from a number you still need to investigate.
| Status | What you know | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to check in store | Product and requirements match your plan | Confirm shelf item and checkout |
| Account action needed | The offer calls for a retailer account step | Complete it in the retailer's service |
| Combination unclear | You have not confirmed the coupon policy | Check the retailer's current terms |
| Product mismatch | The size or variety differs | Find a matching offer or leave it unknown |
Use the same package and required quantity when comparing alternatives. Avoid making a trip decision from a conditional figure while treating the alternative as an ordinary shelf price with no further checks.
Review the result while you can still ask about it.
Keep the offer details available at checkout and look over the receipt before leaving. If something differs from your plan, use the product description and coupon terms to explain the question clearly.

Compare the offers.
Finish the account steps with the retailer.
Search for the groceries you plan to buy on the map. Add any results you want to your shopping list, then open the free comparison. With an empty list, the comparison starts with grocery staples.
Use the retailer's own service to check membership, load any required coupons and confirm redemption terms. Keep unresolved conditions visible until you can verify them.
Your usuals.
Worth keeping an eye on.
Exclusive Deal Alerts watches up to 15 grocery items for matching offers in your NYC area. At most one alert email a day. It is an optional paid service.

Does a digital coupon always combine with a paper coupon?
No universal rule applies here. Read the coupon types and the retailer's current policy before treating them as a combined offer.
Does SwiftBurst load the coupons for me?
Use the retailer's own account or app for coupon actions. The comparison does not replace checking that your offer is ready in that service.
