Cereal in Queens

Cereal boxes can look similar while containing different net weights. Compare the breakfast cereal you want and read the purchase conditions before choosing a family-size or promotional pack.

The details matter.

Keep the conditions with the price.

01

Check the cereal you mean.

Start with the version and quantity on your list. A matching search term does not make two packages interchangeable. These are the details to carry into a comparison.

  • Check 3Keep breakfast cereal separate from snack bars, trail mixes and infant cereal.
Keep the gaps visible

If a record leaves out the package or coupon requirements, that information is missing. Do not assume a unit price, an automatic discount or a product substitution. Open the store record and confirm the exact item before making a trip.

02

Read the weekly-ad records.

These records come from weekly-ad circulars for listed Queens locations. The printed price stays with its package, conditions and ad end date. A circular record does not confirm that the item is on the shelf.

Keep shelf and catalog records separate.

These records come from shelf-price or store catalogs. They are listed separately from circular promotions because their source and validity differ. The observation time is when the source record was captured; the page snapshot time does not refresh that record.

No current shelf-price or store-catalog record is included in this snapshot. That does not establish the price at an unlisted store.

For the next decision, compare the same quantity and buying conditions. Then consider the extra fare, time and bags for another stop. A single item does not establish the best store for your whole shopping list.

The source note

Page snapshot: . Each published record shows its own source observation and validity. The snapshot time describes page assembly, not a new check of every store. Circular, shelf-price and store-catalog records have different coverage and may omit products or locations.

The records are a selection of source evidence, not an exhaustive borough inventory or a cheapest-store ranking. Check the linked source or store for final terms, price and availability.
